Bafana Bafana have touched down back in South Africa with the Four Nations trophy that they won in Zambia this weekend. Percy Tau and Lebo Mothiba got on the scoresheet in Ndola on Saturday evening to give Stuart Baxter’s side a 2-0 victory in the final, a few days after Mothiba scored on his Bafana debut on the way to a penalty shootout win over Angola.
This weekend’s victory was their first over Chipolopolo since 2015, and their first in Zambia since back in 2006 when Aaron Mokoena scored the winner, and saw Bafana get back-to-back victories again after nearly eight months without doing so.
Baxter and his troops landed back in Johannesburg at 15h30 this afternoon, with the players now set to return to their clubs ahead of this week’s upcoming games.
As things stand, Bafana’s next game is their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in September.
