The Chilli Boys suffered a narrow 2-1 loss at the hands of Pirates at the weekend, to condemn the Port Elizabeth-based outfit to five matches without registering a victory since the new campaign got underway.
It comes as no surprise as Chippa are notorious for not being patient with coaches, and are known for pulling the trigger when results don’t come forth.
Larsen, who joined Chippa towards the end of last season, helped the Eastern Cape-based outfit survive relegation on the last day of the season with a vital 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs.
In his 22 matches in charge, Larsen managed eight wins, six draws and eight defeats. He also reached the Nedbank Cup semi-finals last season before they were eliminated 4-2 by Chiefs.
Chippa currently lie 13th on the Absa Premiership standings, just one point above the relegation zone.
