Community Patrol Forum (CPF) member and patroller’s commander from Vosloorus Taso Hadabe was shot and killed last week.
During his memorial service which was held on Friday at Nguni Hall in Vosloorus, his colleagues and members of the community spoke highly of him and the great work he did for the community.
Present at his memorial service was Vosloorus station commander Brigadier Themba Denge, members of Vosloorus and Zonkizizwe SAPS, the community and CPF members from different areas around Kathorus.
Sipho Molatsi, a dear friend to the late Hadebe told the community that his friend was reliable and always ready to lend a helping hand. “My friend had spirit of Ubuntu, he wouldn’t watch you suffer if he had the means to help, he would do it without hesitation.” Patrollers were encouraged to hold fast in the face of increasing violence in the area.
A murder case has been opened and investigations are underway.
