Pirates confirmed the move today on their website when they revealed that the shot-stopper had completed a permanent move to Wits after spending last season on loan with Chippa United, and also revealed that Riyaad Norodien had joined Cape Town City.

A statement from the club read, “The 27-year old, who was on loan to Chippa United last season, has secured a permanent move to Bidvest Wits. On behalf of the Club, Orlandopiratesfc.com would like to wish both players the best of luck in their future endeavours.”

Mhlongo will now battle it out with Darren Keet for the number one spot at Wits, and comes in as a replacement for their number two, Moeneeb Josephs, who is leaving for AmaZulu.
