The second round of the group stage continues today, starting with Portugal’s match against Morocco at 2pm at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s side are favourites to win, particularly after their dramatic draw against Spain. However, the Moroccans could prove to be very tough opponents capable of causing an upset especially in this year’s tournament.
At 5pm, Uruguay will do battle with Saudi Arabia, with the Arabian Gulf team under pressure to beat a South American side that includes Barcelona start Luis Suarez and PSG Talisman Edison Cavani at the Rostov Arena in Rostov-On-Don.
The Saudis need to produce a victory to keep their World Cup dream alive after a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Russia last Thursday. However, many the odds are highly against them.
The late kick off at 8pm is between Iran and Spain at the Kazan Arena in Kazan, which on paper seems like a one-sided affair but the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Colombia know that there is no such in this tournament.
